Sleepy ... but satisfied

I'm a little sleepy this morning, as I didn't get home until 11:45 last night. And then it took at least half an hour or more to get to sleep. I was still too wound up from two things -- drinking coffee in the evening and having a hell of a good time playing La Citta with some guys from the Toronto Area Boardgaming Society.

I joined TABS around the end of last week, and it was right after I sent an introductory message to the group that I noticed someone was looking for gamers in the Pickering area. Woo hoo! Lucky me. Gamers in my area. It turns out there was a small group of guys planning on getting together to play La Citta, and the host invited me to join.

So last night, we met up around 6:30 at David's house. I met David, and then I was introduced to both Chris and Xavier. Then Xavier broke out La Citta and we started learning the rules and playing. The game itself is similar to games like The Settlers of Catan and Carcassonne, but it's a little more complicated and a lot more cutthroat. >:)

To use the old tried and true phrase: A good time was had by all.

And I can't wait to get together with these guys to play games again.

I'm just tired this morning. I hope whatever I wrote made sense.
