The Wars of the Worldses
Okay, this is just sickening. The Law pointed this out to me. There are three (count 'em -- three!) movies either being released or already released this year based on H.G. Wells' The War of the Worlds. Check it out:
Steven Spielberg's film with Tom Cruise.
David Michael Latt's film with C. Thomas Howell.
Timothy Hines' film with a bunch of actors I don't know.
And it looks like the only one that tried to actually remain true to the original novel was the third one with all the unknowns.
