This will likely be of interest to anyone tracking the high-definition video war. Blockbuster has announced it's dropping HD-DVD titles and supporting only Blu-Ray.
I can't say this is all that much of a surprise. I think it's been fairly clear for awhile that Blu-Ray has been doing better than HD-DVD. Walk into the electronics section of a major department store and look at the high-def discs. They're almost all Blu-Ray. I don't even see all that many HD-DVD movies on sale (but granted, I could simply be missing them).

Yeah. Crazy, eh?
Looking around, I found estimates that suggest the Blu-Ray currently has 60% marketshare of the two high-def video formats.
